Christmas from Australia...:)

Yep, I came home from work yesterday, opened my mail box, and in it set a gift from the land down under… I opened it and found a very nice letter, a very cool trout sticker and, a set of the way coolest Blue Dun flies you could hope to see. Very well tyed good work and now I have a set of original fly’s from the other side of the world , to head up into the hills of Virginia with and temp our native brookies… Talk about distance casting!!! lol
Thank you Gringo!!! They are some sharp looking flies and I am looking forward to trying them on the waters here, of course I will will only use a couple and keep the others for models to tye from…

Tim…

Pretty cool Tim!
You’ll have to post pictures of the flies AND the trout you catch.

Hat’s off to Gringo…ANOTHER great FAOLER…but we already knew that.
See my signature…it’s proven many times on a daily basis.
Mike

Ha, ha, a spey cast for sure! He probably tied them while listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I am still working on a surprise for Gringo too. He is a really great guy!

I just can’t help but smile when I hear stories like that. It just brightens my day

No suprise there, having fished with Gringo I can confirm he is a realy good bloke. For an Australian!
All the best.
Mike.

Hey Mike,
As you know, Aussies are some very special folks…at least to me. I befriended a number of 'em in Vietnam. Unfortunately, I was med-evac’d home 2 weeks before my Australian R & R. I STILL regret that…great, laid back people. I currently work with a young lady who is a “transplant” from Australia & every day Debbie serves as a reminder of what fantastic people inhabit that Island Nation…They’re pretty good to have along side when trouble starts too.

Wow, I had missed this thread.

Gentlemen thank you, but the pleasure is mine, I have received so much from the great people on this forum.

(Plenty of time for R&R now tuber.)
(A compliment from a Kiwi???)
(TSO ROCKS!!!)
