could the little green square be changed on his reputation? i don’t think he is on a “distinguished road” anymore.
He can, however, initiate a new identity. Hard to believe, sold his integrity for $80. I may be tempted for a million but even then I have a conscience ( I think).

I sure do hate to see this kind of thing occur on FAOL. We have literally hundreds of successful transactions and then along comes good ol’ Eighty-Dollar Chris. Its been a while, in fact. the last problem I remember was that Canadian Salmon Fly guy. I must have a very collective, Japanese outlook because I always feel that this behavior shames us all a little. That may sound weird but it is true, at least for me 8T
That Atlantic Salmon Fly guy was on another BB and was trying to sell his crappy old boots… I reported it to the Mod’s and linked them to here so hopefully staved off another unfortunate event like this…
Just an update on the situation. He may and I say again may have another identity on another flyfishing board. If this is the same Chris he has not shipped a flyline that someone had sent money to him to buy from him. I will ask the postal service to do a tracer on the MO that I sent to determine if he has cashed it. I agree that he has had plenty of time to at least answer my PMs asking for a response from him.
My MO was sent to: Chris Dunn in Dover, DE. If you want to buy anything from him I would (at this point) think twice.
Thanks for the responses from everyone. It would be nice to sit around a campfire and have a cup of tea with you all. And of course swap lies on the size of the ones which got away.

I hate to post this suggestion, but you have all the right to contact the local Sherriff’s department and ask to file a theft report. Sometimes just a phone call or letter from the Sherriff’s office can get amazing things done.

Thanks to folks ( you know who you are) I was able to talk to Chris on the phone yesterday. This morning he PM’d me with a tracking number. Prayerfully the reel is in the mail.

Like JCastwell, I also have a hard time believing, or at least, would rather not believe that someone would do this intentionally. Did he give you a reason for not sending it to you weeks ago?
A large collective sigh of relief has just occurred from all the regulars of FAOL. 8T 
it ain’t over til the fat lady sings, or in this case dick has the reel in hand. i certainly hope it ends well for him, but i wouldn’t count any chickens just yet. this was an absolute intentional act, and for anyone to think otherwise is a little pollyanna in my opinion. the money was paid, the seller had dick’s address and absolutely no good excuse not to send it. and then to be incommunicado about it speaks volumes. if there was a legitimate reason, why not contact the buyer, let him know what’s going on and explain there may be a delay and worst case scenario, offer a refund if that didn’t sit well.
Chris sent the reel. I received it today and it is as he advertised. Wah hoo!!!
