I’m looking to sell my canoe and replace it with a lighter kayak. The problem is that the fishing kayaks with all the features are almost as heavy as the canoe that I can no longer load unto the car. What features do I really need? Just a kayak and a paddle? paddle keeper? storage? What do you actually use and what is just extra weight?
Get something with the most comfortable seat you can afford. Everything else is preference.
