Alan, hi. I’m a college professor of psychology but part of what I do is teach students how to build websites (a few students once in a while). Here’s a quick, constructive response to your first page:
First of all, it’s great. The color scheme of the white, burgundy, green goes well with the fishing theme and your photo is well-placed, well-sized, and just right. Your font choice is great.
What I would change: Break up that large paragraph below the photo into two - four smaller paragraphs separated by a line break and place them in a table that limits the width to a bit less wide than the photo.
The color behind the left hand menu isn’t fantastic. I’d consider using the green of your header and making the links be the burgundy or black.
Got right on from your thread here, very nice job, and good reading on the river text. I know Diane is the professor, but I would choose one size larger on the font. Of course I can get stronger glasses too. Again, very nice and informative. Jonezee

Great looking site Alan. I know squat about building a website but I might suggest you go through your introduction for punctuation and spelling. Spell check won’t won’t catch it if it’s spelled right. Might be a run on sentence in there somewhere, too.
I’m impressed - best of luck.
(What are the odds you stumble into a professor that teaches website design? I love this place.)
Made me want to explore it. How would the different sections of the Sac be to pontoon through? Any nasties? Put-ins and take-outs sound fairly straightforeward.
I too was cursed with the ability to immediately spot misspelled words, and punctuation. There are a couple of small errors there that you might want to correct before the professor sees them. Hang tough! You’re almost there! Good site!
I would like to thank everybody for taking the time to check out my site and give me suggestions, I really appriciate it. If your ever around Redding and need some info or want to fish just hit me up.
