Chat Room Help!

Got a new puter. I love it, it’s really fast. (BUT) I can’t get into the “Chat Room.” I don’t see the original fisherman, (The Frog), and the message says I need to turn on my Java Support, but I don’t know how. I’m not Geek enough to figure it out. Can anyone help me?
