I went to the river this afternoon for a short fishing trip. I only got to fish for about 30 minutes because the water started rising. I caught this one just before I left.
This was the first one that I caught
I also caught a couple of smaller white bass and missed a couple of strikes.

Nice fish, biot, white bass are something I’ve always wanted to catch on the fly. They hit so hard, way out of proportion to their size. Used to catch lots (spinning gear) on Lake Erie, but I think the populations have dropped way off.

John and I fished there yesterday, only caught a few small whites. I bet the warmer weather helped today.
