I did have a guy once proclaim proudly that he had eaten some and had not puked. He was proud and serious! I’m not wild about it, but it is different and I find it edible. Enjoyable in fact. If I make it there, I should take my CAMERA!!!

Anyone who tells me that they prefer Lutefisk over our beloved SPAM, is in need of professional help. I don’t eat fish that moves like Jello and smells like the athletic sox of a 17 year old track star with an aversion to washing machines (grapic enough?). Sorry, even the PhoDoughgod has standards.

Few understand, that don’t live on the “Left Coast”, what a great fishing experience and fun it is, to go after such fish while having to wear rain gear, fight the cold and “Hope you don’t drown from the heavy rains”???..quicker than if you’d just fall into the river.
We’re currently having one of the biggest in size and largest in numbers, run of Sea Run Cutthroats, of the past 25 years and yet hardly anyone is out fishing!?! “It’s RAAAININGGGG!” “I might get WET!”
Go figure. No doubt, mostly “Ohio Transplants”.
As to "the post becoming a food post", that's not at all surprising either. After all, "those that CAN FISH, fish?.. those that CAN'T,talk about FOOD.
Although, in all honesty, since there's no mention of actual "FOOD" on this thread, I'm not sure if its been hijacked, or, not!!?
"SPAM", of course, is not a food. It's a great item for patching sheet metal and fiberglass, as we're all aware, but not made for intelligent, human, consumption. (In proof of this, notice the slogan on the picture posted by The Dough God?.. "SPAM-The Simple Minded"!?)
But, neither is the dish the Scandahoovians insist on digesting at various times of the year, for celebrating certain festivities. "Slathering a partially decayed Carp carcass with the green tinted, virus laden, nasal scrapings of an aged camel, then baking for 9 minutes, at 102 degrees,or until the mucus is "jellied"?.. is not something one might construe as "edible".
Good luck, on your next outing too. I'm sure, with Lady Fisher obviously in charge of it, you'll enjoy yourself far more than staying indoors and eating that "Rude-as-Fish", you claim to enjoy!
So, up at 6am. On the water by 7:30. We waited for the humongous pods of marauding salmons to charge at us. And we waited. And we waited some more. “Shoulda been here at 7 this morning”, the guy said yesterday. “They were so thick ya coulda walked across on their backs!”. Today, we were there. Wife had one on for about five minutes but it gnawed its way loose. I on the other hand did not lose a single fish. (don’t ask!). Home by 11:00.

Let’s get this straight JC = 1 & LF = 0. Sounds like someone’s sleeping on the couch tonight. But knowing JC his fishy now belongs to LF, chivalry does exist.
We are tied. Both hooked, played and un-hooked a fish each, although, mine might have been a tad bigger than hers. (of course )

It’s not. We don’t compete, we both try to help each other. Like today, I tried to give her what I thought might be the best place to fish since she certainly was not in it yesterday. Today she did get one, although she didn’t land it. I want her to have a great time and she tries to make sure I do. I guess it is almost competition at that, trying to help the other.

I ‘wimped out’ on the lutefisk, It was 18 bucks a person. First, I can’t eat that much of it and for 2 bucks more I could have a nice lobster dinner at Anthony’s in Bremerton. So, I had a hunk of red snapper on pasta at an Italian joint.
Thank God you came to your senses. 18 bucks for fish flavored Jell-0 ? If it was that good, we would have heard about it from Bill Cosby.
p.s. I heartily endorse Anthony’s. Great seafood. We are lucky enough to have one here.
