At last year?s Michigan Fish In, we had a ?2 weight shoot out?, a casting contest for 2 weight rods. This year, the committee has decided to change it up a bit and let you use any weight rod?or as Bill DeSavage calls it?run what you brung!
This contest will be held on Wednesday evening, time TBD. It will consist of 5-7 different casting challenges. It will be conducted on the ?front lawn? at Gates Lodge. All are welcome to attend and participate and heckle.
This contest is in addition to the bragging rights distance contest that will be held after dinner on the 4th of July.
Last year, we had a few donated prizes for this contest and the committee decided that it would be nice to do the same this year. If anyone has something they would like to donate, please post it here. You can just bring it to the contest on Wednesday. If you are not attending the Fish In and wish to donate a prize, PM me for an address for shipping.
I will start the prizes of with donating a set of furled leaders (floating, sinking, sink tip, strike indicator, etc).
