I heard about this lake a while ago but forgot about it until today, it holds striper during winter and it looks like a good fishing option, on top of that it is around 30 min from home, that’s great.
Anybody here in SoCal has any experience on that lake?

No experience but it’s supposed to have humongous bass.
Well known as a bass lake, it’s a place I’d like to fish.
Used to go windsurfing up at Castaic when I was in high school (grew up in the valley).
Best known for the summer time bikini hatch.
it’s going to be hard to match the hatch then. …unless I come up with a bikini fly LOL.
They have a good website: http://www.castaiclake.com/ Apparently they have a choice of finny critter to chase. Just remember minimum 18" on LMB to keep. That will pull the kinks out of your leader.
