Posted this also in “things wanted” - don’t know who all visits there regularly. Have need of some information regarding fishing opportunities in the Carroll Cnty, VA and surrounding areas. Specifically asking about Crooked Creek, but don’t know what all else is relatively close by. Looking at a piece of property, but not sure about the rest of the hype. Would appreciate any and all help.

I’ve fished the New River a few times for smallies near Galax & Fries which is in Grayson County but just over the county line. I can’t recall exactly where 'cause my friends drove me there. The fishing was pretty good too!
I don’t know Crooked Creek but I’ve heard good things about the trout fishing in the Wildlife Management Area although I’m pretty sure a daily fee is imposed in addition to a VA license if that’s a negative for you.
