Still lots of ice and snow. With temps expected in the lower 50’s tomorrow, this little Class A wild trout stream will be blown out by afternoon.
And finally, I know he is down in there waiting for ice off and insect activity just as much as I am.

Is that a decoy:o
Jack,
Is that guy to the right of you, “TRYING” to teach you how to flyfish?
Thanks,
Doug the puzzled
Duckster that is the tip of a log. It’s normally under water a couple of inches but the reduced flows have let it show.
Doug another nope!! I took the picture.
Duckster I failed to mention that it is the “Duck River”
Jack,
So you were downstream “Kicking” fish?
Thanks,
Doug
Great pic’s!!! I’moff tomorrow with 70 degree weather here too, and the also stocked Hawksbill that runs threw Luray,I was thinking about going down there for abit, I have chores that need to be done, but hope to find the time to run down there and cast a line.
Hey Jack, were you between Dement and Cortner’s? I haven’t even gotten my new license. It looks to be another couple of weeks before things break free here. <Industrial deletion of expletives> new software…

Saturday, 75 degrees, beautiful - trimmed up the bushes, thatched the lawn, fertilized - everything ready for spring.
Monday morning - wake up to a 1/2" of snow, with a low of 25 degrees last night!
Albuquerque weather at it’s finest in March!
like you, I can’t wait for spring, but this is how spring is in Alb. so it’s kind of here already!
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but let me say it again, “I HATE WINTER!!!”
Have a great day everyone.
Bob

55 degrees and sunny all day today. Streams looked great from my office window. Dropping temps tonight with a severe winter storm watch in effect until Wed. morning. Expecting a ton of ice and then a up to 3 inches of rain and flooding.
GRRRRRRR!!!

It will be nice by mid June in my neck of the woods, if we’re lucky. As long as the creeks don’t freeze over, I’ll be fishing no matter how cold it is out there.
It was 70 here today, too. Looks like 75 tomorrow but then into the 40s on Saturday. Go figure, a cold front just in time for the weekend.
Though we only hit the 40s in the Shenandoahs on Saturday, there was some mighty fine fishin’ to be had:
On a MFTG wulff:
On a tungsten conehead bugger:
Fished a stonefly hatch on Sunday!
I was out yesterday in the Poconos Mountains of PA. Plenty of snow on the ground, water temp of 40 but the air temp was a balmy 55 degrees.
The brookies in the streams were VERY happy to see me and my BH Prince nymph; so happy in fact 13 of them came out of the water to say hello!
Winter officially ended for me yesterday!
Slate,
I’m with you for SPRING!!! BUT!!! It ain’t gonna happen anytime soon here in Vermont. We had two days of storms last week, we’re supposed to get another storm tonight of sleet, freezing rain and snow, until late tommorrow night and now they’re saying expect another one on Saturday until Sunday.
We just busted 100+ inchs with the last one and now the weather Gods seem to want to go for the #1 spot at 145.9 inchs.
COME ON SPRING!!!
