Can't find Bass_Bug

folks, when i tried to reply to a month-old message from Bass_Bug, here is what appeared over my reply:

The following errors occurred with your submission

[li]The following users were not found:[/li]

can’t find his name on the membership list either.

did he go away?:frowning:

He’s shown on one thread on which he posted as a “Guest.” No way to know if his exit was voluntary or otherwise.

The previous member you are looking for was permanently Banned.
Any postings he made are now listed as “Guest”

Casey, Jeffro is in contact with Bassbug. A p.m. to him will probably work to pass a message.

I can get him a message as well.

Silly question, but isn’t this Perma-Ban thing happening pretty frequently? I am just curious; are the members doing more violating of old rules, have the rules changed/become more stringent recently,or is the ban hammer being wielded with more force than normal?

I know I have seen at least one recent discussion about a banning and I agreed with the mods in that case, I just don’t understand why it keeps happening.

thanks for the info.

CaseyP…Bassbug is over on the FlyTyer forum. And he can be found on the American Angler pages as well. Not quite sure what he did to get a permanant ban? He’s always been a pretty straight-up guy on the forums over the past 6-8yrs I’ve been dealing with him.

i think the …nevermind i dont need to get myself banned for protecting others at this time…i am sure this thread will be deleted shortly

Having been a member here for quite awhile, I will say that this site has been kept “family friendly” through the high standards of behavior it requires of it’s members.
I am a HUGE FAOL fan who has & will support their decisions. I have always found them to be fair.

for those of you who might be curious, here is the latest answer to my question:

“Found him! He’s a Moderator over at the Fly Tyer Magazine Forum!”

so now we know.
