Here is the original Camasunary Killer dressed on a size 10 low water salmon hook.
Thread - Yellow
The tail and body is Royal Blue embroidery wool.
Tag and rib silver.
Thorax is Fluo Red SLF.
Hackle Black hen.

Now that’s a steelhead fly! Very nicely dressed, Donald. Will be adding a few of the original versions to my box as well. May give them a shot this fall on the Clearwater.

Donald and others, what makes for a low water salmon hook? Is the hook gap narrower than a standard?

A lot depends on the manufacture, but basically it is a lighter wire hook.
