There are quite a few threads on FAOL with dozens of members offering input on popper material/sources, home made popper bodies and of course their own way of tying poppers.
Yet when I post a popper swap the only replies after 4 days are for a crease flly and a gurgle bug. Both certainly acceptable and welcome for a popper swap, but what happened to all the ‘flip-flop’ and ‘dremel bug’ people out there?
i wish i could tie them or have the resources to tie them, i would join your swap. is a crease fly a popper??

I’d be happy to send any of your ‘swap’ folks as many of my poppers as you’d like me to.
But I don’t do ‘swaps’ because I don’t fish other folks flies, just my own. I hate to waste stuff…

You offer to mail poppers anyway…so you would not be doing anything different if you were IN the swap. Soooooo…do the swap. I’ll take those “other peoples poppers” off your hands. They would not go to waste! <grin>
I am tempted…but I am so disorganized…and have a few other commitments…I think I best not.
Besides…I am beginning to think of fishing nothing but ‘Buddy’s’ flies! <smile>

Anyone of the six swappers that do not take Buddy up on his offer…it’s their loss.

PS…if you have a hard time getting to six for the swap let me know. I will join. It’s high time I learned how to do poppers anyway. I will just have to perform it if comes to that. I’ll do it just to help the cause…the swap…iffen I’m needed.
