Been fishing every week since the Fall.
Northerners tend to think everyone is couped up in the Winter
Sorry just had to get that little dig in. Now of course you can feel free to dig back when it’s TOO HOT to be on the water around here this Summer. But then again the streams here stay nice and cool.
BBW
That’s why I’m heading down to South Central Tennessee tomorrow. Should have gone last week 'cause the weather was in the 60’s
A good Monty Python line …
Have to share this … on Friday it was around -35 and the wind was strong enough to make it -48.
But … it’s a dry cold.

JAck you didn’t miss much here last week. Too much rain. Streams up. Should be better this week although a good bit colder. If you are doing any tailwater fishing I’d check out the release schedules. The Caney ran 2 generators for about 8 days and then ran 1 for about 4 days to present.
If they drop it down to none the trout should be h u n g r y from fighting all that water.
Where are you going?
Ron: Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
BBW;
Tullahoma and the Duck or the Elk. Also looking at moving there.
Couped up? Between work, kids, shoveling snow, watching the Wings and tying, who has time to be couped up? Spring is coming so quickly. I hope I’m ready for it  Of course there’s always some winter steelhead fishing to be done, provided the river isn’t having a hard water problem hehehe.
Jack - if you move south, we’ll miss you up here. Hope you can make it back up once in awhile.
Mike
Really? Super. We’ll have to connive you to come to some TU meetings in Nashville. We meet in a restaurant that is 3 or 4 blocks from the certified Orvis dealer and down the road a few miles from Cumberland Transit, which has another fly shop. Of course, you know about Tim’s shop by now.
Wait a minute, what am I thinking? We ain’t got no fish down here. None at all. You know that. You’ve been down here before. Nope, no fish down here. Sorry folks.
(psst, Jack, have you tried the Harpeth and Buffalo for smallies?)
Ed
Well BBW, I hate to shatter your image of us notherners but it sounds as though I get out fishing more than you!
I hit the local lakes in the evenings for panfish and the trout streams on the weekend. I may have to drill a couple holes to get to the crappies but I’m not going to let a little hard water slow me down.
But you are right, you can keep the heat!! 8)
I talked to Jack & WarrenP tonight & I’m betting Jack moves to Tennessee. Were it not for my kids & grandkids all being here, I would join him! Beautiful State & fantastic people, ie WarrenP, DLeo6446, EdD & others, milder weather, plus really decent access to points north, south, east, & west.
Mike
Drag 'em all down, Mike. Shucks, we’ve got lots of Ohio ex-patriots down here. (And maybe a few ex-Browns and ex-Bengals, too…)
