Does anybody have anything good or bad to say about Cabela’s Prestige fly reels? I’m thinking about getting 1 or 2

I have a Prestige reel in a 3/4 weight and it is a great reel for the money! I have not had any problems with it and I will recommend it highly!

Got to agree with you. I’ve got one on my 3 wgt and it’s a good reel, especially when you consider the price. Never a problem with it at all. It’s been fished about 90 days a year for two years.

I have one on my 6 weight. I really like it. In fact the guy at Cabela’s actually recomended it over one of thier more expensive reels.

I have 3 of them and have never had a problem with them. Very smooth reel. I would recommend them.

I like my Prestige reel, very light weight and good drag. The only thing I don’t like is if the drag is not set tight enough the line runs away from me and balls up on the spool. I would not hesitate to buy another for 5 wt lines or less… FB.

I have one on a 5wt, Two thumbs up from me.
