Anyone else in So Cal suffering as a result of the smoke from the La Canada Flintridge fire? Man oh man, is it ever bad here in the Mojave. We’ve had some awesome sunsets but they are not worth the trouble the fires are causing. I hope those folks who live in the fire area are ok.
Orange sunset here in Colorado tonight, as well. Mother nature is everywhere.
Now we have ash falling. Sort of Reminds me of when Mt. St. Helens erupted. Not that much ash of course, but covering cars and plants.
Looked like an atomic bomb from our house on Saturday.
I have a cousin and her family that was evacuated from their home in La Canada~. (Can-a-da, it’s one of those potato or pa-ta-toe things)
What I don’t understand was how it appeared on Thursday when it first started, and can’t help but wonder if it had been hit hard then would it have never grown to the monstrosity it is now?
Leasing Canada’s Super Scoopers. Shouldn’t California own some of these? Have then ready to fly when needed. (Which is any moment, it seems.)
I mean, by now you’d think they would have won their merit.
Highest of Praise for our Firefighters. Brave and strong.
But the folks that manage these fires? I, for one, am not too impressed. They just do not use the resources they have quickly enough. Then these monster wildfires develop.
SIGH! Hope you have some dust masks, Jim.
Hopefully all you Calif guys and gals are ok!!! Be SAFE!! and get out if they tell you too. Hopefully this Hurrican that’s supposed to hit the Baja Penisula will send some rain up to help all the firefighters knock these fires down.
Take care all
Fatman
