Bugs (litter, gotta get'ch some)

Arkansas, hardly the forerunner in any endeavor, has a program where you can report litter bugs…

You call a number (866) 811-1222, tell them you saw someone litter, give them the license plate, vehicle description, etc.

They send the offending person a letter explaining how they done bad and were seen. The third such notice they assure the bug will be accompanied by a STATE TROOPER to explain the error of their ways.

As dry as it has been here recently, I’ve seen two folks throw burning cigarette butts out the window of their cars. It just takes a minute, and the folks that answer the line seem more than friendly.

Do any other states support this type thing?

Hey Bubba,

Same deal in South Carolina. All
licenses come in a little envelope with the
number and details. Warm regards, Jim

What fly do you tie for the litter bug hatch?

The garbage can… Butta bam!

I know, but I just had to…

Well the old joke is this guy saw a sign on the highway that said " fine for littering " thinking it was fine he did .

Gnu Bee – Butta Bing!

Michigan!

You can call the State Police here in Penns Woods, aka Pennsylvania, but good luck getting anything done.

It’s a great day for fly fishing!

If your roads and streams are anything like mine, you’re gonna have to hire more troopers.

In Tennessee we can call the local police. We just report a dead body right next to the litter/overlimit of fish/etc…

(Yes, I know that’s an over reaction, but it’s a cathartic over reaction.)
