BSU!!!!

I hope you guys stayed up to see that. It had to be the best game I’ve ever watched live. Unreal! I was sure Zabransky would fold like a cheap tent. If that’s not a great step towards a playoff, I don’t know what is. Talk about controversy…I hate to say it, but I’m pulling for Florida BIG TIME now. Anyone outside of OSU fans who doesn’t, is crazy.

If you missed that game, watch the replay today.

That lateral was ridiculous!

My throat is hoarse…
Best college game ever played. IMHO

There aren’t too many coach’s who can say they have never lost a game or a bowl game, except of course Boise State’s.

Boise State beat Oklahoma. Boise State would NOT beat the Buckeyes.

Gutbomb,

Therein lies the problem.

We’ll never know, under the current system, if Boise State could beat OSU.

If it isn’t decided one on one, on the field, then it ain’t ‘decided’, it’s just ‘made up’.

Look what USC did to Michigan.

Since USC beat Michigan ‘more’ than OSU did, does that make USC ‘better’ than OSU?

They just gotta play.

Good Luck!

Buddy

In my opinion, the current system is great because it places extreme importance on coming out and winning all your games. If Michigan and USC had gone undefeated, they wouldn’t have had anything to worry about. A playoff allows teams a chance for a mulligan.

First and last, that was some game. As a Chicago Bears fan, I enjoyed seeing QBs that did not fold rather than watch one that never gets unfolded in the first place.

IMHO the college playoff thing has gone as far as it should go unless we want to forget why colleges exist in the first place and let then go no holds bared for the $$$$$$$$.

The Ohio State University better watch out. Though they swept the traditionally powerful Big Ten Conference, that doesn’t say much this year. Michigan was the only other good (not great) team in the conference this year.

I loved it DShock… a “hook and ladder” and a “statue of liberty”… Somebody got a copy of Knute Rockne’s playbook at the swap meet. :stuck_out_tongue:

I was exausted this morning, that game went until almost 1:00am. It may be the best bowl game I’ve even watched.

The Boise State, OU game is why I love College Football!

Not sure the folks in Madison would agree with this comment.

Go Pack! Go Badgers! It was a great weekend indeed. My full support to OSU too. Gotta pull for the Big Ten – Go Buckeye’s!

Go Boise! Whether it was luck, whether it was talent, or wether it was determination, they deserved to be there and they earned the win. Don’t count out the small guys until they send you packin’.

My wife and I were both standing on our feet cheering them! We live in SW Montana and know someone who is a teacher there! Best bowl game, college FB game, and perhaps the best FB game we’ve watched!

Is that Football game the most exciting thing that ever happened to Boise and Idaho? (since the invention of the potato)
I’ve lived 53 yrs and I can’t think of anything that comes close.
When Boise State ran the Hook and Ladder (lateral), I think the entire OU defense stood there in shock!
Doug

That was a great game. It was a killer for those of us in the eastern time zone who had to get up early. The game was impossible to turn off! Even after Oklahoma’s interception, I just had a feeling the game wasn’t over. How true!

My wife and I are both graduates of the University of Oklahoma, and she even got her doctorate there, so you might understand that we are Oklahoma fans. I was a little shocked by the first two Boise State touchdowns, but not dismayed, knowing that our team could make that up without much difficulty. I thought once OU pulled ahead it was all over. However, once the fat lady finished her song Boise State had won the game. Definitely the best game I have seen in years, and the winner deserved to win. I had been warning some of my fellow diehard fans that just because Boise State played in what we considered a weaker conference didn’t mean that they were a weak team. Their unbeaten record was not just a fluke. My congratulations to Boise State.

As a BSU grad, I was excited beyond reason about the win.

There is one thing often overlooked about the BCS bowls and that is the money that goes to the schools for playing in a BCS bowl. What good does the big money do going to the same high dollar schools each year with smaller schools having to have an almost Heavenly (no sins)year to get close to an invite?

If BSU had lost even one game would you have seen them in a BCS bowl this year?

The many things BSU is able to do with that money from the Fiesta Bowl that otherwise would take many years of donations to accomplish is outstanding.

I am glad for the bowl system it is fun each year to watch the bowl games, but the bowl system does tend to be very exclusive $$$$$$$$$. Caviar and Pate’ are very yummy, but eating them every day of the year gets old. The children of Isreal got sick of Manna, some people get sick of the same teams every year.

Mix it up!!! Have an Idaho Potato with your pate’ and caviar!!!

The BSU/Oklahoma game was exactly the reason the BCS system needs to give way to a playoff system. I was happy as can be for BSU to get their shot and finish it off in such grand style. Seeing teams like Notre Dame get into bowls just because they’re Notre Dame, without having to play for it, burns me up to no end.
