No info on this fly, just a couple pics on the interweb; basic stuff here, but a neat effect.

hook - Mustad 3906B #12
thread - Danville 6/0 chartreuse
tail - woodduck flank
butt - tying thread
rib - small wire gold
abdomen - dubbing hare’s ear
thorax - ostrich herl chartreuse
legs - woodduck flank

Part 1

mash barb/start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap to bend

strip some woodduck fibers, measure (gap width past bend), tie in/trim; wrap back to the tail and create thread butt

tie in rib

dub thread/dub tapered body to 2/3 mark

counterwrap rib; helicopter end/cover with thread

Part 2

strip off some more woodduck, measure (barb to eye), tie in with tips forward, trim

tie in some ostrich herl, twist around thread, wrap to eye; tie off/trim

split legs

fold legs back on near side, tie down

repeat on far side, whip finish, SHHAN
