Bringing home dinner

My son shot these today and I thought some of the fisherpersons might like to see how an eagle brings home the bacon to mom & the kids. This was shot at a nature preserve from 200+ ft from the nest with his fancy schmantsy camera.

Joe,

Those are beautiful pictures. Your son and his camera belong together! Thanks for sharing…

Way cool. I and several other birders today watched a bald eagle take a coot out of a raft of them on a lake here in Colorado. Always amazing to see them get lunch.

Joe,
Those are very nice photos!
Thanks,
Doug

Joe,

You nearly gave me a heart attack. I read your opening line that said my son shot these today before the pictures appeared and I’m wondering if he got a couple of turkeys. Then the picture popped on and it’s a bald eagle. I’m immediately thinking, how many did he shoot and wondering about eagles in the smoker. Glad it was just pictures. Now that I have my heart rate back to normal, those are very cool pictures. 8T

Joe, I’m with ET, I didn’t read all the words before I say the first pic. Then I read AALLLL the words,BEAUTIFUL pics. Have seen both Bald Eagles and osprey out here doing just that, just never when I am able to reach a camera, dang it anyway.

Those are some sweet photo’s!!! Those fancy camers are nice but man they cost!!!
