I have 2 sets of a dozen flies each tied up.
They are some experiemnts with soft hackles ect.
Free to two folks who will use them and then write up a story for the warm water or panfish sections.
I stated it was bribery.
PM me.

I will take advantage of your generosity - but - I have had one article published in WW. If you can find a couple “virgins” I would take a back seat. Your call.
thanx Rick…g
Oh yeah - if you’re wanting this done soon - as you know - I still have ice.
Wish I lived near any warmwater or panfish right now… I guess I will just have to go fish the Missouri this Monday to make up for it
I’ll be your Huckleberry! PM sent.
You are a generous and crafty fella, Rick!

am I to late?
If you can wait until late May, my 8 year old said he would write a story (with a little help;)
That would be a true first time with a fly rod story
If you need another let me know.
count me in !!! or am i too late? i will p.m.
too late- this is my first attempt at typing with the sling, which has a four or five inch square of foam attached so it keeps the arm away from the body. Interesting trying to sleep…
I’m okay, even got a little nap in. Thanks for the good wishes all! S
I know what you mean LadyFisher…sleeping becomes ‘one sided’ when ya got a wing inna sling !
Cheers,
MontanaMoose
LF glad to hear things are going well.
I forgot the PO is closed today.
They WILL BE in the mail tomorrow.
Rick
Let me know when you get them, Please.
Rick
Do you care if it is a trip from last spring? If not, wait till it gets there, THEN we’ll accept the bribe.

Rick, Ian sent you a PM about your flies
As you could tell from his PM note, Ian is very excited about the flies. It was snowing horizonal when the arrived. Hard to believe we will be out chasing gills in a couple months. The lake over at Grampa’s summer place is still frozen over.
Its funny how it is often a pain to get Ian to do his homework writing but this was nothing but excitment and energy.
To be honest, I am just as geeked or maybe more that I am gaining a fishing buddy. Your fly offer was the final straw in getting Ian really excited about going out with me. He has not made a single trip out yet and is already bugging me about when he will be old enough to go to Pa trout fishing.
Rick the flies arrived the other day. It looks like the weather might be good tomorrow so I will give them a work out. I will let you know how they did. I say they because if fish are caught it will be because of the flies.
So far this one has produced bluegill and a nice little bass.
Water temp here is already in the 60s. Spawn should start soon and be good testing ground for all patterns.
This is a bead head with flared tinsel for body and red thread at the throat. Seems to simulate a minnow and using a double dropper under a popper with this as the terminal fly, strikes were very agressive.
I received the flies yesterday and hope to sneak out of work this afternoon to give them a try.
Thank you again.
