That was a heck of a deal on the Ollie Edwards book. I’ve noticed that a used paperback copy starts at about $50 and up, and a hard back copy can go for as high as $250. Someone got real lucky. I’m hanging on to my copy.
I know now (:>). Honestly, the prices will cover my gas into town and the postage. The Good Lord has put me in some sitations where I can spend 2 months in Florida extremely cheap and almost 4 months just outside of the NE entrance to Yellowstone free as a FS campground host. I’ve recieved a lot of great deals and free stuff here and just want to pass this stuff on to folks who might enjoy it rather than have it gather dust.
WOW!!! I’m with REE on Ollies book, that was a steal!!! Sure post really good ones when I’m stuck in a meeting, course don’t let the boss know I’m here on company time LOL
Jerry Dennis is a great guy. He used to be in the Troutsman shop occasionally back before Kelly Gallop left town… Used to see those guys on the water once in a while, Upper Manistee and Pere Marquette. That shop was quite a loss to the local faithful… Rock Wilson demonstrating his newest tying tecnique on that goegeous slab sawn table. I hope Kelly’s new shop has some of that same magic.
Sounds like your set up well over the next six months! Really appreciate the reading material, it will help survive the cabin fever… -22*F through Sat night and into yesterday. I don’t much care for it…
I picked up his tapes to listen to while driving. I’ve got every thing John Gierach wrote and think he is as good! Maybe I just can relate. As a Michigan boy, I taught myself to flyfish on Bear Creek!
