Book of the Month

JC & LF;
A suggestion for the FAOL Community Forum. A “Book of the Month” club. We could cataloge our books and start an exchange.

Jack, can you fill that in a bit more?

Right now it is a seed growing in the back of my head! Winter is coming on and we all need a means of defeating the shack nasties. Nothing can do this better than a good book!! Well, Tying flys and building rods helps!!

A member could list the books they have by title and author. Or, list what titles or author’s they are interested in. This would have to be a “Sticky” item I believe. We would have to be able to delete or add to our list as books are exchanged, Should we be able to say where the book went?
I happen to like Clive Cussler. Jack Higgins, Tom clancey and other adventure/action novels. Victoria Houston is my new “Great” writer!!

Another discrovery! As this is the last weekend for the Grand Garage Sale I came upon an issue of “Trout Fly-Fishing in America” by Charles Zibcon Southard. Published in 1914 the book was Presented to the Grand Rabids Public Library in June of 1919 by the son of Charles S. Withey. This book has been lost for a long time and I hope to return it it’s proper home soon.

Hey Jack,

This might be your lucky day. I happen to have over
300 books by those and similar authors.G There is
info on line that you can use to access a discription
of virtually all of them by author/title. I’ll put
some thought in as well.G Warm regards, Jim

You might check out http://www.bookmooch.com/. It’s pretty much what you’re talking about.
