bonefish bonaza

today was pretty good…the morning was full of sharks but as the sun came up the bones came out…got 4 while permit fishing…seen many more but the rain kept me out of the picture at the end…ELECTRIC DREADS all the way baby

That a canoe you’re in?

oh yes…ALL my fishing is done from the canoe or wading…I even take clients out of the canoe

lol, thanks for the picture, but, (hate myself when I do these things) I now feel justified casting on a lawn, as you seem happy to pole yourself about on one!

it makes it really simple when water is present:D grass carp is the bite here

Awesome pics, Cordell! Do you ever catch SMALL bonefish??? :stuck_out_tongue:

thats funny Dave…actually these are on the small side, perhaps my smallest overall considering the amount of fish…here in Biscayne Bay the average is around 8lbs and probably only 1 of them is that heavy…some days they are really big…you can usually tell within the 1st 100yds of the fight…small ones will take between 100 to 150yds of backing and about 10 to 15minutes to land…the big ones over 10lbs usually between 15 and 30 minutes and you need all 250yds of backing if current is there
