The weather has me thinking springtime already. Time for some more bluegill flies. Here are the rules. 10 people to sign up plus myself. Everyone ties 10 flies and has them to me no later than March 3rd. Pack them in a crush proof container large enough for the job (assume others are sending larger flies than you are), along with a return envelope and postage. Please toetag your flies with your name and the pattern name. If you can add the recipe, that is good, too.

I’d love to join in the fun. I’ve been daydreaming of the day I get to go back out and chase the 'gills this spring. Maybe this’ll help pass the time some.
(More likely it will make me even more antsy to get out there!)
I’ll play. If in I’ll do a Briminator. Never fished with one nor tied one, but has been talked about on the board once in a while and I’d like to give it a try. This just has to be my last swap this year. I think this is about the 20th one. I even heard someone in the family ask, “Haven’t you got enough flies by now?” Well, does God ever have enough clouds? Now, all we need is your home address for shipping the flies out. I will try to het mine done and out in tomorrow’s mail. Right now, I’m in 10 swaps and I like to get my swap entries done early so I don’t loose track of any.
here’s one I considered joing because I love the gills and am lighting them up these daze.
anyways, I’m glad to hear that others have it as bad as I do. my current list is 8 swaps w/ 3 recently completed (including one v. large one) and five to go. the bottom of the list states in all caps - NO MORE SWAPS!!
oh well, back to spinning deer hair.
some of us are nuts. it ain’t about having enough flies it’s about getting good.
It sure says something about Bluegills when a swap is posted at 5 A.M. and when I get home from church at 8 P.M. it is full already. If there is a drop, I’ll be first alternate.
