Have any on you folks used, or heard of, a panfish fly called a Mackie Bug?
I saw reference to it on a Midwest web site touting it’s Bluegill catching ability.
Does anyone know how to tie it? I would like to try it out as soon as the darn ice melts

Looks pretty simple some dubbing, wire and translucent rubber for tail/legs/antennae

A few years ago I tied up some 12’s using mixed colors of dubbing and had just tremendous success. On some I used a little micro hourglass weight, same one I use on my micro Clousers. Thanks for the reminder. I tied up some Jitterbees last year, thanks to Roger Stouff, using pieces of bass skirt for a tail. That’s work here as well. The Jitterbee was an excellent fly, by the way, showing that our German-Norwegian “sunnies” like 'em about as well as the Cajun brim. JGW
