The 'Gill fishing is picking up here in central Michigan, or so they tell me! Hit a deer and my jeep is in the shop. Sort of curtailed my trips to my favorite pond.
My new Boo came last week too and I have yet to get it wet!!
Don’t forget the Michigan Fish-In August 14th to the 20th. The Holy Water’s of the Au Sable await you!!

The bream fishing isn’t too bad here right now but could be better. LMB seem to be more active here right now as it seems to me like we have caught more LMB than bream. At least that’s how it was the last time I was out on the water.

The May full moon period was simply spectacular. The June full moon period, which just passed, was outstanding. In Texas, we will now kind of settle down into the summer routine for BG…great early and late, slow during days, and almost nothing in complete full sun.
The gills are doing great.
Had another triple digit day Saturday.

For me, so far, I’ve had about a dozen gills this year mostly during the spawn. Seems I’m missing their feeding times.
Maybe I’ll call ahead and have them hold off til I get there…

I have been catching some nice bluegills and redears for about a month here. It has been hotter than normal for this time of year, so I have been going early and fishing till 10:00 or 11:00 then heading home to the a/c.

Finally got the house painted and chased gills yesterday. Had a good outing. Used a #10 ant made from punch yarn. Red rear, black hackle and black front. Caught around 100 with my 9 ft 3 weight.

Welcome back FisherKid. Bluegill fishing here in NY has been pretty good over the last month. McGintys and Tellico Nymphs have been killer on them. Had some decent Yellow Perch and Crappie fishing too. Haven’t caught too many bass yet.
Ohhhh…and about 2 weeks ago me and my dad had a great fishing trip! we had steak and burritoes and i told my dad we eat better out camping then we do at home…haha! We did a lil fishing and caught about 10 but that was only in 30min!! yea its all good.
