Snowshoe flies.Left to right: Caddis, Sulfur emerger, another emerger, BWO, Unusual, aka Royal Rough. I 've tied up a bunch of Usuals also, I like Snowshoe! Ragged flies. Easy to Tie, Cheap, No one would buy them but I’m sure they will catch fish.

Hi Oldster. They’ll catch fish for sure. Have you ever used the underfur for dry flies? I think it holds the fly up very well, too.
I do save the under fur for other flies. There’s plenty of it and I give it a toss in my coffee grinder to fluff it up.
love them, I like the snowshoe for wings and dubbed bodies. nothing floats like it. try a spinner, use bucktail for the tail, dub the abdomen and thorax with snowshoe, and snowshoe for the spent wings. treat it with a little floatant, and its dam near unsinkable. I like to slap it in hard, it makes the fly sink a little when it hits the surface. as it slowly rises back to the surface again, the fish come unglued.
