I like the incredibly clean lines! The black tipped hackle is not something I have seen… Have black Sharpie, will tie! (Weak attempt at reference to Paladin of the early 60s…)

I have both gold and silver (white) skins of those, still natural… So I can use either the red sharpie or the black… I am more inclined to tie in a size 2, so the Sebrights might be a bit small?

The reason I overlooked the obvious is the proliferation of tip-dyed materials of late has given me tunnel vision. I have small pieces of the same stuff in lots of different colors from a “sample” pack from Whiting. But orange or red is not an option there.

Did you tie the hackle in by the stem at the very first step as indicated in the order of materials? The head is certainly nice and tiny…

Correct. I list all my recipes in the order the materials are tied in.
