Billknepp a FF Getting Married

I noticed a marriage license was in order for billknepp, now in Pa. Wouldn’t it be nice if he got married at the Michigan Fish-in next year and they could pass under crossed fly rods?

Mantis;
Outstanding idea!! I bet we’d all put on clean shirts too!! Nah!! Waders and vests!! I’m for it as I know we all will be!! What a highlight for a great event!!
Wedding on the Beach and a walk through the rods. Or at one of the landings.

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Youse guys better clear that with the bride first or you’ll be wearing black eyes on that day . I understand the ladies are usually quite particular about wedding plans and such .
If the Bride were to agree with you then I suggest you contact LF whom I believe has experience in these matters .

WOW!!..Crossed 'boos & Sages!
Jack…NOT on the beach, but IN the great water of the AuSable!
Mantis, you’re a genius & a hopeless romantic!

Well Guy’s,

I must say as I seen the photos of JC & LF’s wedding…I felt a bit Jelious…lol…Talk about a guy who totally lucked out!!!..What more could a man want from a life partner…???..right down to the drinking of punch with mayflies skate’in in it during a huge hatch…as the man said…It’s been done…and done well…

And that next year thing…The window of oppertunity closes after 60 days, for a licence…hell of an idea though…!!

Did’nt think anyone paid this much attention to my rambeling’s…lol…Thanks for the thoughts…was very suprised to see such a thread…lol…

“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact,seen it all before” A.K.Best

Everyone wants to excel in this sport but at the same time we let traditionalists place restrictions on our tactics, methods, and ideas. I always assumed that fly fishing was a sport that allowed imagination, creation, adaptation, investigation, dedication, education, revelation? : Fox Statler, On Spinners (Not the dainty Dry Fly kind) “Spinner’d Minner Fly”

Funny how fishing minds think alike! Many years ago when I first joined T.U. I think it was the second year I took over the publicity chair. A guy on the board was getting married fairly late in life and invited the whole board. A couple of days B4 the wedding I had seen a short clip military wedding on TV and thought, Hey, that would be neat but instead of sabers use fly rods. So I arranged it for Ron’s wedding without letting him know… We had a regular tunnel of crossed rods and I, just like the service man at the end of the line, tapped him on the rear end with the rod tip as they emerged. He got a big kick out of it. I’m sure others have thought of and done the same thing… Fishing minds sometimes think alike!
