Bilbo, LaGuardia or Pampalona Spain

My son has found himself in Bilbo, Spain He plans on going to LaGuardia and the Pampalona. He would like to fish somewherre along that route for a few hours if possible. He will need to rent equipment as he is rodless. Does anyone have any contacts for something like this on short notice???

Thanks,

You might want to ask at Con Mosca, a nice site for flyfishing in Spain.

It’s all in Spanish, but if you post in English I’m sure enough of them can help you out. Most Spaniards know enough English to get by. The forums there are at

I used to live in Bilbao myself and have been to Pamplona several times, but it’s been a while and I can’t really help with the info you need. Beautiful area along there, though, just beautiful.

I have a friend that fished all of the creeks that Hemmingway mentioned in one of his books. He caught plenty of smallish trout.

Benjo,
That’s what my son was thinking of doing, fishing where Hemmingway did.

Cool. I’m fishing with my friend tomorrow and I’ll find out more about it.
