Big thanks to Kim (jiggin)!!

Kim brought (and shared!!) a bunch of non-skid materials last night to fly tying. Said he got the pattern from RickZ, and showed me how to tie up ants and caterpillars from it!! The black was great right off the bat, and the white (a bit bigger square) I just used marking pens to color this morning. Absolutely too kewl!! Thank you, jiggin!

HRH Betty;
If you’d like any more of this ant making material, one of our local commercial marinas has “no-skid place mats”, made of this exact, same, material for around $2.oo each. They carry them in white, green, yellow, black, red, “darkish” blue and orange.
There’s no backing on them, just the material, cut into “place mat sizes”. I also found this same material in black and off white, but in SOLID, instead of the “porous/ant body pattern”, which I’ve been using to make some neat beetles with!?!
The solid stuff, comes in a roll, though, not pre-cut. If you’d like to play with this solid stuff, let me know and I’ll cut you off a chunk of it and stick it into the mail for you!!
