Betty Hiner

Just wanted to brag on Mrs. Hiner. Have talked to her a few times via email about fishing the Missouri Trout Parks, asked her what flies she has had success with at Mauntauk, and if I could buy some of the ones she ties. Sent me some flies that she tied, wouldn’t hear of accepting money, only that someday I would do it for someone else. Thanks Betty, someday I will pay you back, don’t know how yet, but when we finally meet a nice steak may have your name on it.

That’s WHAT I got.

Thank you, Drew. I was happy to send the flies to you, and hope they prove as successful for you as they did for me. Someday, somewhere, someone will ask you for some ideas on areas or flies, and you can repay me by giving of yourself to them.

You’re a class act. But we all knew that for sometime now.

Betty must live around my old neck of the woods. I grew up fishing Montauk SP and Maramec Springs. I grew up in Rolla and try to make it down that way to fish as often as I can.

I’m pretty new to this board, but it’s good to see people from ‘home’ on this board.

Actually she is from Kansas, I on the other hand am very close to you, I live in Manchester, around 141 and Manchester, I know exactly where Florissant is. Go Cards.

We should elect Betty Hiner to high office! There could be a woman for president next time around so it may as well be someone we all know and love. She already has my vote!

I like being in swaps with Betty. Her flies are artwork. Truly!

Drew,

All I can say is, If you want to buy Betty that steak dinner, take her to the Alpine Inn in Hill City, SD. By the way, she’ll be frequenting the streams of the Black Hills for a few weeks in September. You just never know how many FAOL faithful you might see then.

I tie flies to give the fish something to laugh about.

You folks who are ‘frequenting’ the Black Hills in Sept. should drive on to Idaho for the Fish-In!
