better late then never..New member Intro

Hi everyone - although I have been a member since January 08 I have never formally introduced myself on this Forum, I know very rude of me but I guess better late than never, so here goes:

My name is Robert and I have been a fly fisherman / fly tier, guide, as long as I can remember. I live in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada and spend all year fishing different species which include Steelheads, Trout, Salmon, Pike and Char. My passion is chasing the Atlantic salmon all summer long in Northern Labrador.

A friend sent me a link to one of your articles and I am astonished about the vast amount of material and available knowledge. With the exception to my dear wife you?re the second last thing I look at when I go to bed at night and the second thing I look at in the morning.

Thanks for having me as a member and I?ll share any knowledge I have acquired over the years about the sport and my local watering holes here north of 60!

Hmmmmm -

“gobrock” rings a bell from somewhere, but who is this Robert ??

Anyway, good morning and welcome from SE Idaho, which is a long way from your neck of the woods, and is sometimes confused with Iowa but is not to be confused with Ohio under any circumstances.

Hope you enjoy your stay, but as I am sure you already know from hanging around here for a couple months, you have to be ready for just about anything.

John

Robert,

Welcome to FAOL from the Island Nation of Ohio…specifically, Steelhead Alley on the South shore of Lake Erie. Here, we fish for anything with fins when the water is not hard like it is today. Look forward to your contributions and hope we can share a tip or two with you!

Hi again gobrock!

Welcome to the board. Nice to see you north of 60 guys starting to thaw out a little. Don’t be alarmed the big bright thing is the sun. 8)
Always good to have another Canuck join the gang.

“Seeing the Pacific Ocean, from my window”, I think I’m about as far away from you as one can get so, "WELCOME from “The Left Coast” as well!
Glad you’re here and thanks for finally introducing yourself “later, instead of not at all”!!
Hope you enjoy the site!

gobrock,

Welcome aboard!

Howdy Robert, I’m a So. Oregon lad…Steelhead, Trout, and now learning to FF for Bass… Summertime we have a family campout/reunion at Burney Falls, CA. and we all go after the eager Crappie population there. We’re happy to have another Canada boy…eh. …ModocDan

Welcome Robert. Us “north of 60” kids will be taking over the fishing chores for the rest of the “9 to 5er’s” shortly. There’ll be so many retired baby boomers, that there won’t be room onstream for anyone else. Glad you stepped out of the brush and let us know you’re around.

Hey Robert,

Welcome to FAOL from western Washington State. I prefer chasing steelhead, trout and all species of Pacific Salmon. May have to make my way east sometime to try your Atlantics.
