best waters in US

I am gonna take a trip in June and would like to know what everyone thinks the best waters are so I can do some research on them. I dont get to fish big water very much being from Illinois So I kinda want to this trip. any info would be great

Try sugar creek ranch in NorCal. They have a website to look at. Not a sponsor here, or I would include a link. Just put the name into google.

For the last 10 years or so my fishing partner and I have spent our June fishing trip at Cape Cod.
When ever the subject of going somewhere else comes up, there is really not much discussion.
The numbers of fish, the chance of truely large fish, access to miles and miles of shoreline, the beaches, flats, estuaries, makes it an easy choice for us.

Glacier National Park

Just come to Colorado and head to Glenwood Springs.

From there, you can fish the Colorado, the Roaring Fork and the Fring Pan.

Three of the greatest rivers in the US!!

I fish, therefore, I am… I am confused!!

June can be a bit of a problem this year in the northern rockies. We have had some great snowfall in most areas and the rivers will most likely be running high into July.

I’d think tailwaters or plan on heading to SW Colorado or New Mexico.

Oregon.

Unless you are afraid of BIG fish.

Don’t forget those lake trout and landlocked salmon in Lake Ontario and the Niagra River.

American veteran and proud of it!

Like Paul said, be aware that in most of the west run-off is and will continue to be a problem.

If you are coming out west I would be coming as late as possible in June. July would probally be a safer bet.

At that time some rivers will still be running high and murky.

Henry’s fork could be a viable option by mid-June and you are close to YNP.

Usually the Firehole, Madison and Gibbon rivers are fishing at their best during mid-June.

That said the high water this year should translate into better fishing for at least the next few upcoming seasons.

Bye, bye drought!!!

After a recent trip to Cherokee, NC, I’d have to recommend the streams in western North Carolina, eastern Tennessee. Beautiful country.

Well, I would say we’ve got a wonderful country when there are so many choices that are felt to be “best waters in US”.

Arkansas…White River, Norfork river, Little Red River…Home of the current and three of the last four World Record Brown Trout…'nough said

These are the idle thoughts that posses a man’s mind when he’s not able to fish.

If you want big water, Cape Cod, MA. I guess the Atlantic Ocean is pretty big water G. It is a good time of year for the world class Striper fishery. Earlier in June is better than late in June.

Sometimes the best waters, may be those nearest to where you are. As an old song saids…“If you cannot be with the one you love, love the one you’re with…”

We have great fishing here in Idaho but it is crowded I would try North Jersey
