Berkley Vanish and Transition

Does anyone know the actual weight/density of Berkley Vanish vs Berkley Vanish Transition fluorocarbons?

I don’t know, but that’s about all I use any more! 4lb and 6lb

which one?

While hardly a fly fishing endorsement, I use regular Vanish on most of my baitcasters. I love the stuff and the price is right. I wanted to try the Transition but the fact it is similar to Stren; that being visible in sunlight but “supposedly” invisible below the surface kept me away.

If your intention is to use it for tippets or leaders fished deep it shouldn’t be a problem but otherwise I expect it will be visible and doing its “gold” thing.

“Seaguar Fluorocarbon catches more fish . . . Believe it!”

LF…I use Berkley Vanish & Transition for furled leaders and use Seaguar Fluorocarbon exclusively for my tippets.

Ducksterman, I was wondering just who found my fishing backpack. Enjoy !

Crunchy

It must have floated downstream.

LF, what makes the Seaguar better?

Ladyfisher, you are right on the money big time!

I tried Vanish for steelhead fishing once. All I got done was tie on new flies after loosing nice steelhead. Pitched it all into the first dumpster I come across in the parking lot.

Maxima is just not too shabby either.
