Here’s an update everyone!
As of today we have 242 entries in the bowl (Tickets are selling for $10 each, each ticket actually gets you 2 entries into the raffle)
There is still time to get in on this great raffle with over 50 prize lots!
Each prize lot is worth at least $25, most much more!
Send your check to me at:

Be sure to include your name & address separately if not accurate on your check.
Hey, all of you! This is a great chance to get some good stuff (Ray has a slideshow of prizes including some doozies), as well as raising money to help get JC’s memorial bench built and placed on the water, for some angler to stop at, sit on, and enjoy the water in good company. We need more entries!!!
And if nobody else enters, then Sage and I will end up getting all of the prizes!
I just mailed another check. I can’t believe the odds, if folks did the math, you’d be flooded with checks and the odds would change! Hmmm, maybe I shouldn’t say anything and just hog all those fantastic prizes !
Less then 40!? Wow I would have thought more would have kicked in by now. I recently sent my donation. I wish I could have sent more, but at least I wanted to give something back for all that JC (and the Ladyfisher)has done to make this site a place I can come to for free information on flyfishing. I pray more will contribute. It is a very worthy cause. When Al Campbell passed away some years back we came together to make the memorial bench a reality. Let’s do the same for James Birkholm. He deserves this memorial. Friends, if you can please donate.
I second what TyroneFly said. I sent all I could afford and that was it. Folks think about what you would have had to pay to learn the things you learned here for free. I know money is tight with everyone but this is for a good cause in my opinion. With out this site I would not be doing the things or have the knowledge I have today.
We Americans often complain about money, and I know that many are having problems with the current economy. But—Americans tend to cr-- away money on stuff that we don’t really need, and I am as guilty as anyone. $10 is often throw away money-that’s one fast food run, for one person.
There are not many places in this country or elsewhere in the world that allows people to come together to enjoy each other’s company, get a great education in a hobby they love for free!
As a quilter, there are many websites I now can’t participate in because they charge to access their educational items. There’s one site that chages over $200 a year! It’s free here, and JC and Ladyfisher have worked hard for years, using their own money, and of course donations, to start and keep this going for everyone.
I’m actually ashamed that there has been so few tickets bought. I realize people are saying it’s Christmas time, I have a lot I have to spend. Think of buying a ticket as a gift for one of the best friends you’ve ever had, JC and Ladyfisher.
Though I don’t post often, and I’m not a real avid fisher, I have found many flyfishing folk to be great friends, and very generous. I hope that part of the slow purchase of tickets is just lack of attention on the board itself because everyone is so busy at this time of year. I know I have hardly been online at all lately because I’ve been so busy.
A couple of slow pay accounts have finally come through, check will be in the mail Monday a.m. … hope it isn’t too late. When is the drawing or will it be when the ticket are sold out??
