Bass Pro experience

Good news, I got my first vise!

And had a dynamite experience. Check it out.

Dirty Rat here I come!

If it’s not too late: TAKE IT BACK! fly tying is more addictive than crack cocaine and much more expensive. I can envision bald patches on that little girl just to tie one more streamer. Wives and children may starve to death because the freezer holds only unprocessed tying materials. TAKE IT BACK!

Congrats. Have lots of fun.

Re: “Chickabou.” Chickabou is basically small marabou sourced from roosters, as opposed to the turkey marabou that generally use. Credit is given to Henry Hoffman (of Supergrizzly fame) for noticing these previously discarded feathers and marketing them with the funny name. I believe the chickabou feathers are located on the lower breast and along the legs. I have a number of dyed grizzly rooster skins that have many of these feathers. If you get addicted to tying those Dirty Rats, a rooster body skin might be the least costly source for this material.
