A size 6 Gartside Gurgler works well or me. It also works great for big panfish.
ETA: http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytyin … 9fotw.html I like the gates ausable lodge version in black. It has rubber legs under the foam and in the tail. It has cactus chenille or something similar under the body hackle. They also use marabou instead of bucktail in the tail.
