Bass Fishing chick saying Hello..!

I come across this site from time to time when I looking for information on trout fishing. Although, I am primarily a bass angler there is always great info here so I thought I’d join. I’ll try to post some photos from time to time, but I am still learning the ropes on trout fishing.

Regards,
Sue

Welcome to FAOL from SoCal, this is a grat place and I’m sure you will find the info you’re looking for.
Great guys and gals here.

Sue,

Glad you signed up and a welcome from Ohio.

Sean

… and welcome from SW Montana, Sue.

At least a couple other people from the Reno area on the Bulletin Board, and a couple from Sacramento. You might try sending a PM to DaveE ( Folsom ) or jburge ( Sacto ) to get some ideas on the when and where of it for trout fishing your area.

In the meantime, hope you enjoy participating here on the BB. And for sure, we’ll be looking forward to some reports and pics from your trout ( and other ) outings.

John

Welcome !!! From a Northern Cousin!

Hello Sue and welcome to the site.

Sue, we’re pleased to have you. Hang on, you’re in for a good ride, thanks for joining our gang.

Kelly.

welcome. just out of curiosity, you aren’t affiliated with the online matchmaking/dating service geared towards fishing located at cupidfish.com are you?

LOL!! I had wondered the same thing when I saw “Sues” avatar on another fishing site!!

yeah betty. that website popped up for me when i was on another site (can’t remember where). pretty big coincidence, but this sure smells like spam to me.

Welcome aboard, Sue. Not only should you check out the warm water forum but also the fly-tying forum and any others that pique your interest. Also look at the articles and the archives of those articles. There are a lot of great fly patterns for warm water anglers as well as some excellent articles on chasing various warm water fish. There is plenty of information and stories to while away days. Clearly this is a great spot to sepnd an idle hour or two…

Just a couple of warnings about “things” here. Ohio is not a state, it is the Island Nation of Ohio. This may have something to do with the monstrous, salt water bluegills that they (claim to) catch there.

The NBOF (Nasty Boyz of FAOL) aren’t exactly nasty or mean. We have been accused of hijacking the occasional thread. It isn’t that we are intentional pirates, it just that we are easily distracted…

“Pirates”, a.k.a. Pie-rats, often is used to refer to salt water anglers. That may include or exclude residents of the Island Nation. It may also include people from the heartland who like to fish salt water or at least wish that they could.

Welcome aboard. If somebody tells you that newcomers haved to cut the firewood, bring the doughnuts, and make the coffee you may blissfully ignore them. Next year you may pass along the chore list to somebody else, who will blissfully ignore it…

Ed

Welcome to FAOL from SoCal.

Sue
Welcome from the northeast of Minnesota ! You’ll like it here .
Bob

Thanks all for a warm welcome. After reviewing some of the threads on here… wow is there a lot to learn and a big bridge from Bass fishing. Also, many of these threads and posts are great with morning coffee… Again thanks for the warm welcome.

…but welcome from a former Chilcoot resident ! When I say Pyramid, stepladder and lahontan, does anything come to mind Sue?

Cheers,

MontanaMoose

I’m originally from Sacramento. Only place in NV I’m familiar with is Pyramid and the step-ladders. Would be great with a flyrod. If you fish CA then there is the Truckee River(oh yea it goes into NV too), Martis Lake(also lahontan cutts), Foster Lake just off 80 on hwy 20, and several other small lakes good for tubing. I could look them up for you.

Welcome aboard.

Jerry
