My wife and I are going across the River to Wisconsin this weekend so she can visit some of the little artist shops. We are heading up in the general direction of Baraboo. She asked me tonight if I wanted to take my flyrod along. I’ve fished trout in Wisconsin for the first time this year, but I know the season for that is over. I haven’t done any warm water fishing there, though. Any quick thoughts about streams/rivers/ponds/lakes to hit this weekend? Thanks.

Never been there, but I understand there is good fishing for smallies in the Wisconsin & Baraboo rivers there, probably northerns as well. Take your 8wt, clousers, and wooly buggers!
