Hi bamboo fans. No pun intended. I am looking for a good video on building bamboo rods from scratch. Right from chopping down your neighbours lucky bamboo plant to the finished product. Does such a video/dvd exist?
I’m not going to build one, I just want to see how its done.

Not a DVD but I’ve just finish reading George Maurer’s book Fundamentals of Building A Bamboo Rod. I read it for much the same reason-to see just how they are made. It was very informative in that respect covering every detail from culm to finish rod. Unfortunately he suddendly passed away a couple of months ago. Wayne Cattanach sells a Bamboo rod building DVD on ebay. I think it was 25.00. From Culm splitting to wrapping and dipping. It also has an interview with Charles Demerest.
