This is a great get-together for people who want to try all kinds of tapers / rods / silk lines and more. Last year we expected a couple dozen people, and ran out of name tags at 80!
And the rods! Vintage to just off the planing forms!
Its a chance to meet rod maker George Barnes, a bit of a Maine legend, not to mention other makers, and talk cane with a wide variety of anglers of all tastes.
But one peron who really deserves credit is Sante - October Woods. His generosity with his personal collection and his enthusiasm are unrivaled!
What a blast, officially 67 folks registered and 78 rods available for casting including the 5 stations for the Cast Off which was very well managed by Jeff Reardon… Great group, great day and great memories!
