Finally broke down and went chasing trout yesterday with some friends, I mainly warmwater fly fish. Got up extremely early ( because of the drive to the trout) got to the river, walked about 400 yards to the spot and was about 25-30 minutes into fishing when I sneezed and threw out a disk in my neck. Drove home called the Dr and have been on muscle relaxers and percocets since. Did manage to catch a few trout on some buggers and a midge. Was supoosed to fish trout in the morning and fish the stripe and bass in the “jumps” that afternoon but had to cancell. Hope everyone else had a more productive holiday than I did. At least I didn’t get skunked. My buddy said the fish needed a break from me anyway.
Hey Crash…that SUCKS! But youi’re right - you didn’t get skunked.
AND you kept fishing after the sneeze…that’s the sign of true dedication!
For me - I can’t sneeze when I’m out on the water. If I do, its so loud that I scatter all the fish and the area is unfishable for the next 30 minutes.
