Tuesday we take Amy to Hershey Penn State Guisinger Medical Center for her second biopsy. She has decided to go with a second needle biopsy instead of the major surgery. This is on the advice of two other doctors we chose to see. If the needle biopsy cannot be done they will then do a video assisted biopsy something similar to a laparoscopy. Done as outpatient so we should be home Tuesday afternoon. It will take a week for the results, or so they say, to come back.
We will not be visiting for the Thanksgiving Holiday but I will prep a delicious meal here at home. Amy will not be allowed to participate in the preparation, just the eating!
In quiet solitude, holding each others hands, we remember friends in prayer, thanking Him for His promises.
These things Helen and I will be doing for you and Amy.
Although we can’t be there physically, know that you will not be there alone. We along with your many friends will be there with you in thought and prayer.
Eric I had a needle biopsy done a few years ago on a lump in my throat. The waiting for the results was made easier by my friends who cared enough to send prayers and well wishes my way. So for you and Amy I am sending along my prayers and wishes for a good outcome.
Continued thoughts and prayers coming from over the mountain !! Tell her to count herself lucky, she gets out of cooking…lol !! Some of us … not so…lol !!
Things went well today. Amy is home and already giving me my instructions for the Thanksgiving dinner that she cannot help prepare.
The doctors were happy with the sample they got so we should know by Monday what she has going on in there. The doctors are very optimistic about this not being cancer. The staff at Hershey Med P.S.U. Guisinger were terrific!
We are deeply grateful to all of you here at FAOL for your support and prayers. We could not do this without you! We will update on the test results as soon as we have them.
