I am going goofy (ier) looking at the spots on the fishes, which (the spots) do look identical. Looks like slightly different lighting makes the gill area appear different. Have you noticed that the “spots” on the fingers are nearly identicle too? :hmmm ![]()

Look right under the eyes of both fish and you will see a series of about 6 fairly horizontal small dark spots and the same feature (a small horizontal anomaly) near the end of the gill plate. There are many other “identical” features visible too including “spots.” Take it from an old ID man. All that aside, what beautiful fish. Take them anytime. Give me a six inch brookie from a mountain stream anytime.
I went to that hole yesterday. The drought had made the hole a slime cover mess about 6 inches deep.
