B.H. Trude SBS

Royal Lime Trude(ish) in reverse mode; developed by Colorado tyer Butch Hicks.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #12
thread - Danville 6/0 black
abdomen - Uni-stretch chartreuse/peacock herl
rib - x-small wire copper
wing - deer hair bleached
thorax - peacock herl
hackle - brown (undersize by 1)

Part 1

Mash down barb, start thread at 60% mark; tie in rib and Uni-stretch and wrap back to point above barb

move thread to point above point (20% mark) and tie in some peacock herl

wrap Uni-stretch forward to herl, then tie down with thread

twist herl around thread and wrap to 40% mark; tie off and trim herl

wrap Uni-stretch to 60% mark and tie off

counterwrap ribbing thru abdomen; helicopter end and cover with thread

Part 2

clean, stack, measure (tips to the bend) a clump of deer hair; tie in, trim butts, smooth with thread

tie in hackle (downsize by 1 because of enlarged thorax) at base of wing

tie in peacock; wrap thorax

wrap hackle, tie off, trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN
