So! i went to the Davidson today with Michael E. and some other friends from scouts, and caught my first EVER Brookie. it was on a fly, not one that i tied, but oh well. This is only my SECOND trout on a fly, and i dont really count the first, since it was shorter than my middle finger. it was in a hole at a sharp bend in the river, and it was right on the bottom. i was fishing a M’s Dirty Hairs Ear with a split shot about 10" above the hook.
ok, i got the pic. this isnt my only fly-fishing experience, its just my second with trout. i like panfish too, but trout fight more for their size. this guy was 9" long, which is a really good size for a brookie, ive heard.
