Didn’t have to go far, but early Sunday morning made it out in the cedar strip trying to beat the heat. Wasn’t much biting, and what was biting wasn’t much into fighting. Found a protected lake and just paddled around casting and relaxing. so peaceful, and sometimes that all you need. JGW
John,
I agree. Last time I went, my cousin asked why I wasn’t fishing. I told him I was just havin’ fun being in that canoe with paddle in hand. You are 100% right…sometimes that’s all you need.
Canoes…the ultimate boat IMO.

I enjoy watching the water fowl and other wildlife as musch as I do fishing. Just gliding along, whisper quiet, only the sound of my paddle and the hull in the water.
My kids grew up in the front of my canoe with me paddling them all over kingdom come teaching them to fish. I still love to paddle them around and watch them fish. To me it’s better than any TV fishing show.
You just discovered the secret to LIFE!
